hello, my name is Leaza
I’m a Designer- of websites, logos, flyers and adverts
I love simplicity and creativity and enjoy adding a slightly ‘artsy’ look to my work. It can be fun and wacky but also modern, professional and current.
Design is the method of putting form and contents together. Design, just as art, has multiple definitionss, there is no simple single definition. It can be art or aesthetics or creativity, that is why it is so complicated in its simplicity. As one of my lecturers once said: “A client often does not know what they DO WANT, until you show them what they DON’T WANT”
My Work
My work encompasses many aspects of design: from graphics to websites, to programming and to personalising items. I can also create many special memories for you on a variety of surfaces – fabric, paper, canvas, mugs, mirrors and vinyl.
And if I don’t do it yet, talk to me and maybe we can find a solution to what you would like, together.
I like to deal with positive enthusiastic people who really enjoy the visual aspect of creativity.

I offer a number of professional services wthin the skills base that I have.
I also work with a team of people who sub-contract to me and have specialist services such as database management, e-commerce sites and SEO knowledge.
Together with my skills we provide a formidable service to clients at a very affordable price.
Core Competencies
Complete end-2-end management of a new website development project, from the initial concept to the design of the logo, the web page layout and the different functionalities required on the site.
This includes proof reading, creative writing, writing for the web and websites, graphic design and layout for websites, logo design and client liaison.

Re-skilled myself to be able to design online using Adobe Creative Suite incorporating Photoshop and other programmes. Also re-skilled in terms of html and web design and In Design.
Built a network of specialist Database Developers, PHP and MySql programmers.
Became fluent in using MS Office Suite of programmes as well as Internet platforms, incorporating payment platforms such as Credit Cards, Paypal and Payfast.
Currently studying Google Adwords, and doing the Free Code Camp courses.

Joined Liberty Life as a Financial Consultant and studied a number of different course within their environment. Included Sales Skills, Body Language, Personal Assertiveness, Diploma in Financial Management and others.
Worked as Project Manager for Square One doing training and development in the financial market.
Developed an interest in Buddhism and alternative healing practices. Completed the Karuna Introduction and Foundation Courses.

Joined the South African Air Force and worked as an Air Traffic Controller and general Radar Operator.
Studied through Unisa for B.Comm at the same time.
Once I left the SAAF in 1984 I gained valuable training and experience in the Printing Industry as well as studying Graphic Art at the old Wits Technikon in Johannesburg.

After attending a number of different Primary Schools including Zambia, Pinetown and Swaziland, the last year of Primary Education was spent at Dundee Primary School.
High School was completed at Dundee High School in 1980 in Dundee, Northern Natal.
I finished school very young and with a University Exemption.
Skills Set
Over the last 15 years, I have developed a wide range of skills through working in and around the design of websites and corresponding graphics. These skills include the design of all the relevant graphics including logos where needed, as well as using CSS, HMTL, DHTML, PHP, and MySQL to design upmarket, fast loading and efficient websites.
It also requires an efficient and superior knowledge of writing content for websites in the form of interesting and informative short prose. A superior knowledge of Photoshop and its tools enables the creation of these images.
